This is a fixed term contract from 26th June 2017 for 6 weeks, although this may be extended
Reports to: Activity Co-ordinator/ Principal
Renumeration: £280 per week
Hours of Work
- Three afternoons per week (approx 13.30 – 17.30)
- Three evenings per week (approx 18.30 – 21.30)
- Friday BBQ (14.00 – 17.00 – including set up and clear down)
- Saturday Excursion (approx 09.00 – 17.30)
The Activities Leader will be responsible for partaking and supervising all aspects of the social, sporting and recreational programme offered to General English students. This includes making all necessary preparations for activities to be conducted successfully and ensuring the necessary clearing up is done after the activities. They will also ensure that all excursions and activities are conducted in line with the school’s Health and Safety policies. It is required that the activities leader will be on the premises before the activities are due to start for preparation which the amount of time will vary according to the planned activity.
Afternoon activities include sports, social and cultural excursions.
Evening activities are mostly based at the school and include activities like quiz night, games night, food evenings, disco, etc.
Saturday excursions will be to other towns and cities of the UK to include places like Bath, Oxford, Cardiff and London (08.00 – 20.00).
The successful candidate will be a sociable, energetic, enthusiastic and charismatic person with a good sense of fun. However, solid organisational skills are also required. CSLA/HSLA or any other sport or coaching awards is desirable, but not essential. Previous experience of supervising young people in recreational and sporting activities is an advantage. A clean driving licence is an advantage.
